Despite taking photographs since childhood I am still amazed at having the ability to freeze time. When I'm behind the lens I feel like I have the power to capture the essence of any moment and preserve it for all eternity. Since founding StrikingShots photography in 2005 I have been lucky enough to work with a huge number of talented people and cover events from simple family gatherings to multi day music festivals. At every one of these events there were moments which would have been missed or easily forgotten which instead can be re-lived over and over again.

Growing up in London I never imagined myself as a photographer, however I always enjoyed playing with cameras and seeing the things which were possible with them. I was lucky enough to spend some time during my university studies working at the studio of a local professional photographer, which was a huge learning experience. On finishing my studies however I stepped away from the professional side of things thinking it would be better to keep photography as a hobby while I pursued a career in IT. After a year of working in the city I decided that this was not the way I wanted to spend the rest of my life. After some time spent travelling and then teaching in Korea I found myself in Tokyo with the opportunity to use my passion to make my living once more. The rest, as they say is history...
